 Sam Parker

Head Coach - Sam Parker   
  Assistant Head Coach / Offensive Line - Buddy Blair
Buddy Blair comes from Midlothian, Texas where he attended Midlothian High School. From there, Blair attended Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches where he played football and earned his degree in Education. He has been a High School football coach for 22 seasons, with stops at Lamar Consolidated, Lancaster, Gilmer, Union Hill where Blair was the Head Coach for 8 seasons, turning around a dormant program when he arrived, into a perennial playoff team when he left. He also most recently coached at John Tyler High School in Tyler, Texas before arriving at Spring. Blair is currently the offensive line/assistant Head Coach here at Spring High School. Blair is married to the former Margaret Mcbryde. They have three sons, Brice (25), Brock (23), and Beau (19).

Running Backs Coach - Johnny Rhodes
Coach Rhodes started his career in 2002 at Forest Brook High school. From the years of 2005 to 2008 coach Rhodes help tutor 1st team all district running back Michael Sigers who was a three year starter. Mike posted back to back 1,000 yard rushing efforts, he rushed for 1,300 yards and 15 TDs on 140 carries as a senior. Gained 1,200 yards and had 12 TDs on 132 carries as a junior, finishing his career with 3,304 yards and 37 touchdowns on 356 carries. Mike was also selected to participate in the Texas vs. Louisiana Nike Bayou Bowl along with Corey Lewis who also played running back at Forest Brook and was selected 1st team Punt returner. Coach Rhodes continued his career in the Spring ISD school district at Claughton Middle School for two years where he went 15-1. Coach Rhodes has 9 years of coaching experience with the 2010- 2011 season being his first at Spring High School. Coach Rhodes received his Bachelors degree from Prairie View A&M University in Kinesiology in 2002 and later received his Masters degree from Prairie View A&M University in Education Administration in 2007. Coach Rhodes is married to Kyndra Rhodes, and has one child Tianna Rhodes.

  Offensive Coordinator/Inside Receiver Coach - Jess Lanier
Coach Lanier is in his 11th year of coaching Varsity football. Coach Lanier is the Offensive Coordinator here at Spring High working mainly with the inside receivers. His wife Rebecca is a Nurse at Christus St. Catherine in Katy, Texas. He and his wife have two children, Jaxon (3) and Jaycie (2). Coach Lanier also coaches Track here at Spring High. Coach Lanier teaches BCIM and Global Business.

 
  Outside Receivers - Pete Ullman
Coach Ullman is the outside wide receivers coach at Spring High School and teaches US History. Peter graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with an undergraduate and master’s degree in kinesiology. While attending the University of Texas, he was a four year letter winner on the football team and was a member of the 2005 National Championship team. Peter was born and raised in Austin, Texas where his parents, Bill and Catherine, and sister, Audrey.

 
  Sean McCabe
Coach McCabe has a Master’s in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Walden University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Central Methodist University. This is his 7th year coaching football and teaching English and his fifth year in Texas. This is his first year at Spring High School.

 
 

Ben Bitner

Coach Bitner is from Round Rock, Texas and is a graduate of Round Rock High School. After high school he went on to play football and study at Texas A&M University where he completed a degree in History. Before coming to Spring High School, Bitner coached at Aldine MacArthur High School where he coached both the Corners and the Safeties.

 
 

Kyle Attaway

from the coach: I was born and raised in the Houston area.  I attended and graduated Langham Creek HS in Cy Fair ISD.  I graduated college in the fall of 2004 from Texas State University with a BS in Mathematics.  This is my second year of teaching and coaching.  Both years of teaching have been Math Models with Applications.  I have coached both football and basketball.  In football, my areas have been both safeties and outside linebackers. I came to Spring HS for Cy Fair ISD for an opportunity to coach and teach young men on this campus. 

 
 

Chad Johnson

from the coach: I have been coaching for 11 years starting at the junior high level where I coached football, basketball, track, swimming and water polo and served as the athletic coordinator. I have 4 years of varsity football coaching experience during which I have coached Tight Ends and Defensive line. I am originally from Raymond, IA and graduated in 1994 from East Waterloo High School where I played baseball and was a swimmer. I am married to my beautiful wife Lorie and we have four kids. Nikki, Austin, Cameron, and Avery.
 

 

Kurt Sloan

from the coach: I graduated from Texas Tech University in 1999.  I’ve been coaching for 12 years.  My wife Laura and I have two children, Cooper and Carson.  This is my first year at Spring High School.
 

  Dustin Wilson
In high school Coach Wilson was a 2 year starter in football and 3 year starter in basketball and baseball. He graduated from Harmony High School and started 2 years in all 3 sports at Longview High School. He played college basketball and football at Ottawa University in Kansas for a year before transferring and playing a few more years at West Texas A&M in Canyon Texas. He is 28 years old and this is his 3rd year coaching. He is a high energy coach and hopes to one day be a Head Coach after he is finished at Spring High School.
 
  Daniel Hobbs
Coach Hobbs graduated from Alvarado High School in Alvarado, Texas. After graduating he attended Hill College, and got a degree in Liberal Arts. Then attend Sam Houston State getting a degree in History and Criminal Justice. This is his first year with Spring High School Coaching the Freshman Safeties and Corners. He is getting married this March 2011

  Kyle Ratliff
from the coach: I graduated from Rockport-Fulton High School in 2006. Then attended the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Economics. This is my first year teaching and coaching.
 
  Steve Yates
from the coach: This is my first year teaching at Spring High school. I coach basketball and film football for scouting. Previously, I taught and coached at Twin Creeks Middle School. I have taught history or English for 12 years in the public schools and coached football and basketball for 10 years. I graduated from Harding University in 1995 with a degree in English education. I have been married to Michelle Yates for 15 years and have three children.
